Tier 1 Service Desk Technician

SUMMARY:
The Tier 1 Service Desk Technician is responsible for providing first-line IT support to end users, troubleshooting common hardware and software issues, and escalating complex incidents where required.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• CompTIA A+ Certification (Required)
• Valid driver''s license and own reliable vehicle (Required)
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and IT support processes

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and remote assistance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and basic network issues.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications and related services.
• Log, track, and update support tickets within agreed service levels.
• Install and configure hardware and software.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical staff.

Skills & Experience:

• PC and Laptop Support experience.
• Microsoft 365 support experience.
• Previous Service Desk or IT Support experience.
