SUMMARY:
My client, based in Sandton, is urgently looking for an experienced Tester (mainly manual and familiar with automation testing) who must also have mentorship experience.

POSITION INFO:
Located in Sandton (Fully onsite)

Duties:

Analyse and assess bespoke web applications to prepare and execute comprehensive test strategies
Perform both manual and automated testing across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms
Configure and manage QA and pre-production environments, ensuring that appropriate test data, settings, and modules are in place
Develop and maintain automated test scripts within a DevOps framework
Work collaboratively with Junior Testers, providing mentorship and ensuring that best practices are followed
Conduct functional, regression, usability, performance, and security testing across the system
Collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers, Business Analysts, operations, call centres, and external service providers to resolve issues and improve application stability
Liaise with third-party vendors to support API, integration, and end-to-end testing

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of browsers, web technologies, and debugging tools
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright)
Experience configuring QA/pre-production environments and managing test data
Working knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman, and RestAssured) and database validation (SQL)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps)
Experience with performance and security testing tools
Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills:

5+ years of experience in web application testing within Agile/DevOps frameworks
Experience working with Junior Testers, fostering a collaborative QA team culture
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to drive quality assurance best practices and streamline test processes
