Territory Sales Manager

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced and target-driven Territory Sales Manager (Bulk) to drive LPG sales, grow market penetration and retain profitable customer relationships across the Cape Town territory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customers, achieving sales targets and ensuring excellent customer service while promoting the safe and responsible handling of LPG.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive LPG sales and achieve/exceed individual sales targets.
• Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain strong relationships.
• Identify and contract new customers and business opportunities.
• Manage territory activities using CRM tools.
• Forecast sales activity and plan business development opportunities.
• Monitor customer profitability, margins and return on investment.
• Liaise with Finance and customers regarding credit management.
• Maintain a strong understanding of customers, target markets and competitors.
• Ensure compliance with company sales standards, policies and applicable HSSE and Competition Law requirements.

Skills & Requirements

• Grade 12 required; Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing or a Technical field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ sales experience, preferably in LPG, industrial products or technical sales.
• Strong territory and account management skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to acquire new business and retain existing customers.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to explain product applications and safety requirements.
• Understanding of credit, account status and margin management.
• Excellent planning, time-management and problem-solving skills.
• CRM experience is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle essential.
• Proactive, customer-focused and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
