SUMMARY:
Quantity Surveyor

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an intermediate-level Tender Specialist for a fixed-term contract (12 months with potential od extension), based onsite at a mine in Rustenburg. 

Ideal candidate: A Quantity Surveyor / Contracts professional with strong hands-on experience in tenders, commercial evaluation and contracts, preferably within mining, construction, engineering or a similar environment. 

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end tender process – from scope/tender documentation through to evaluation and award.
• Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and tender packages.
• Evaluate and commercially compare tender submissions, including rates, BOQs, pricing, exclusions and deviations.
• Prepare tender evaluation reports and recommendations.
• Apply QS principles to tendering and commercial assessments.
• Assist with contract preparation, review and administration.
• Identify commercial, pricing and contractual risks.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, Procurement, Engineering and other stakeholders.
• Maintain tender documentation, registers and audit-ready records.

Requirements:

• Quantity Surveying or relevant Contracts/Commercial qualification.
• Approximately 3–6 years'''' relevant hands-on experience.
• Proven tendering, commercial evaluation and contracts experience.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Mining/construction/engineering experience highly advantageous.
• Able to work independently and operate effectively in an onsite mine environment.
