POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To drive sales growth by proactively engaging with existing and potential customers via telephone, with the goal of maintaining relationships, increasing order frequency and value, upselling relevant products, and identifying sales opportunities.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualification: 

Grade 12/Matric certificate
A relevant qualification (diploma) in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration is an advantage.
Additional product or industry-specific training (e.g., tools, hardware, or construction supplies) is beneficial.

• Minimum 2 years experience in a telesales or internal sales role, preferably in the tools, hardware, industrial supply, or B2B distribution sectors
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, especially in an outbound sales environment, with exposure to cold calling or new business development
• Experience in upselling, cross-selling campaigns

• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

Sales Expertise: 

In-depth understanding of sales principles, customer service excellence, and sales strategies. Strong sales and negotiation abilities, with a proven ability to close deals over the phone
