POSITION INFO:

A leading company  is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Technician to join their team in the Western Cape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing repairs, troubleshooting equipment, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring adherence to company procedures and operational standards. This role requires strong technical ability, administrative accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Repairs & Maintenance

• Inspect, diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot equipment and systems
• Perform repairs and maintenance on faulty equipment
• Replace defective parts and components where necessary
• Conduct testing and interpret results to determine suitable repair solutions
• Read and interpret repair manuals and technical documentation
• Liaise with suppliers, technicians, and other professionals when required

Administration & Documentation

• Ensure accurate completion of all repair-related documentation
• Book in tools and equipment for repairs
• Prepare quotations for repair work
• Invoice completed jobs on the Syspro system
• Maintain accurate service and repair records

Stock & Operational Support

• Assist with stock control and stock takes as required
• Monitor and maintain workshop tools and equipment
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs and safety procedures
• Perform any other reasonable duties required by management

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Technical qualification advantageous
• Previous experience in a technician, workshop, or repairs environment
• Experience working on Syspro or similar ERP systems advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Good administrative and reporting abilities
• Computer literate
• Valid driver’s license advantageous

Experience Preferred
