Technical Support Consultant

POSITION INFO:

They’re seeking a Technical Support Consultant to provide outstanding support for our global telematics platform, processing millions of tracking records daily. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for technical queries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including configurations, data discrepancies, and device connectivity. Responsibilities include managing support tickets, conducting forensic audits, and collaborating with Technical Account Managers and developers to resolve complex issues. You’ll support device integrations, assist with customer onboarding, and contribute to the internal knowledge base with troubleshooting guides and FAQs. This hybrid role, based in Cape Town, combines on-site work with remote flexibility, offering the chance to enhance customer experiences and drive platform improvements in a fast-paced, customer-centric team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in technical support, customer support, or a related role
Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including analyzing raw data and configurations
Experience managing support tickets, maintaining CRM entries, and documenting resolutions
Familiarity with telematics platforms, device integration, and protocols is advantageous
Language proficiency in English and French
Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to prioritize multiple tasks
Proactive problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a results-driven attitude
Demonstrated stakeholder management across diverse cultural and business backgrounds
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a commitment to continuous learning.
Experience in SaaS, telematics, or related technology sectors is highly desirable
Ability to handle ambiguity and maintain professionalism under pressure

Qualification:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Prior experience in telematics, SaaS, or global tech platforms preferred
