Technical Sales Representative

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join its Western Cape team. Based in Cape Town, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, growing market share, and achieving sales targets. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work closely with both clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and markets.
Generate leads, proposals, quotations, and sales presentations.
Manage the full sales process from enquiry to order completion.
Provide technical sales support and product recommendations.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order execution.
Conduct technical surveys and follow up on customer enquiries.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
Achieve sales budgets, profit targets, and payment collection objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).
Minimum 6 years’ experience in a sales environment.
Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Electrical or Mechanical Components industry.
Strong electrical knowledge and practical electrical experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Goal-oriented and results-driven.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
