SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Consultant with a passion for innovative technologies and smart industrial solutions. This role focuses on driving solution-based sales within the industrial automation and infrastructure space, where advanced telemetry, monitoring, and control systems are used to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate is someone who bridges the gap between engineering and commercial outcomes — translating complex operational challenges into practical, technology-driven solutions. You will engage with industrial and municipal clients to design and deliver intelligent systems that leverage modern automation, real-time data, and integrated control technologies to optimise performance and decision-making.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Develop and maintain long-term client relationships while actively identifying new business opportunities in automation and smart infrastructure solutions
Deliver consultative, solution-driven sales across advanced automation, telemetry, remote monitoring, and control systems
Design and present innovative technical proposals, system architectures, and quotations aligned to client operational needs
Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to deliver integrated, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions
Conduct high-level technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site-based solution assessments
Support seamless transition from sales engagement through to engineering implementation and project delivery
Track emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities in smart infrastructure, IoT-enabled systems, and industrial digitalisation
Ensure exceptional customer experience across the full project lifecycle through proactive technical support and engagement

Skills & Experience:

7–10 years’ experience in technical sales, application engineering, or industrial automation environments
Strong understanding of PLC systems, SCADA platforms, and industrial telemetry/remote monitoring technologies
Experience within water, wastewater, or infrastructure automation environments advantageous
Exposure to intelligent CCTV, IoT monitoring, or smart infrastructure systems beneficial
Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, solution-oriented manner
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills
Strong commercial awareness with a consultative, problem-solving mindset
Passion for emerging technologies, automation, and industrial digital transformation

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering (or related discipline)
Previous exposure to technical sales, systems integration, or application engineering will be advantageous
