SUMMARY:
Responsible for executing tasks that ensure products and all associated documentation conforms to departments outlined standards

POSITION INFO:

Maintenance, development and implementation of all in-house technical documentation and product testing data bases. Under the guidance of the Technical Manager, conduct product formulation trouble shooting and R&D associated laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute appropriate on the ground activities to ensure compliance with all technical requirements of the company relating to products and their documentation.
Conduct sampling and testing to ensure adherence to product specifications and applications.
Conduct troubleshooting and take corrective action on non-conformances not related to manufacture.
Execute R&D associated activities under the guidance of the Technical Manager when they arise.
Execute all on going technical requirements and projects in support of the Technical Manager

Development of all in-house technical training:

Assist with the drafting of technical documentation and the maintenance there of, as required by the technical department.
Establish and manage a library of technical documentation and laboratory test results on all products tested, including:

SABS
Dept. of Agriculture
CSIR
Medical Research Council
Universities
Independent Laboratories

Work Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Technical position in related industry, which includes exposure to
Research and Product Development.
Knowledge of technical components in the chemical industry.
Knowledge of SABS standards and procedures.
Knowledge of testing and sampling methods.
Knowledge of laboratory systems and processes

Education Requirements:

Degree in Science and/or Chemistry
Food industry knowledge
Chemical industry knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite
