TRAINING SPECIALIST (Electrical)

SUMMARY:
Large, well established electrical company situated in Sandton seeking a Sales Training Specialist.

POSITION INFO:

The Sales Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and delivering training programmes that improve employee capability, systems proficiency, sales effectiveness, customer service excellence and overall business performance across Sales Divisions.

The role partners with the Sales Excellence Lead and works closely with Sales Management, Product Specialists, HR and other business areas to identify training needs, develop structured learning programmes and ensure sales employees achieve the required competency standards of their roles.

The Sales Training Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining structured onboarding programmes, coordinating induction, systems, sales and soft-skills training, conducting competency assessments and measuring training effectiveness. The role will also manage a structured onboarding programme for new sales employees to monitor and ensure they achieve the required competency standards during their probation period

Suggested Minimum Education, Training and Skills Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Learning & Development, Education, Business Management, Sales Management or related fields

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
• Proficient in learning management and training administration practices
• Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills
• Ability to design training programmes, assessments and learning pathways
• Strong analytical, coaching and performance development capability

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in training, learning and development or sales training
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms
• Experience in coaching, mentoring and performance development within a sales or customer-facing environment

• Experience developing and delivering training programmes
• Experience facilitating onboarding and induction programmes
• Experience conducting competency assessments and evaluations
• Experience working within a sales environment would be highly advantageous
• Experience using ERP, CRM and business systems
• Experience developing training content and training materials
