About Role

We are looking for a motivated and target-driven Telesales / Appointment Setter to join our financial services team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contacting prospective clients, introducing the company’s financial services, generating interest and booking appointments for Financial Advisors.

This is a target-driven role suited to someone who enjoys speaking to people, building rapport and converting leads into quality appointments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contact prospective clients from various lead databases.

• Introduce and promote the company's financial services and solutions.

• Engage professionally with the target market, particularly medical professionals.

• Identify potential client needs and generate interest in the services offered.

• Book appointments for Financial Advisors according to their diaries and availability.

• Work closely with Financial Advisors and their teams to ensure effective lead handover.

• Follow up on leads and outstanding appointments.

• Maintain accurate records of calls, leads and appointments.

• Meet and exceed daily, weekly and monthly targets.

• Contribute directly to new business generation and revenue growth.

• Provide a professional and positive client experience during every interaction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric / Grade 12.

• 1–3 years' Call Centre or Telesales experience.

• Proven ability to work in a target-driven environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

• Strong rapport-building abilities.

• Patient, professional and empathetic approach.

• Strong time-management and organisational skills.

• Computer literate.

• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong follow-up and troubleshooting skills.

• Previous experience within financial services, wealth management or short-term insurance will be advantageous.

TARGETS & WORKING HOURS

The role requires a strong focus on appointment generation, with a target of:

10 new client appointments per week.

Additional working hours may be required when targets have not been achieved:

• Tuesday and Thursday: Working hours may extend until 18:30 when required.

• If the required target is not achieved on Monday and Tuesday, extended hours on Tuesday will apply.

• If the required target is not achieved on Wednesday and Thursday, extended hours on Thursday will apply.

• If the overall target is not achieved over a two-week period, Saturday work may be required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who is confident, resilient, motivated and comfortable making outbound calls.

The ideal candidate enjoys working towards targets, knows how to build rapport quickly and can communicate professionally with a high-value professional market.

Experience speaking to medical professionals or working within financial services, wealth management or insurance will be advantageous.
