Location: Strand / Somerset West area
Salary: R13,000 per month

Are you a practical, hands-on person with technical experience and a passion for getting the job done properly?

We are looking for a Technician to join their growing team in the Strand/Somerset West area.

Hi Service provides gas installation, maintenance, servicing and repair solutions across residential and commercial environments, as well as gas compliance inspections and appliance services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with gas installations and related technical work
• Service and repair gas appliances and systems
• Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting
• Perform maintenance and repairs
• Assist with gas leak detection
• Assist with gas compliance inspections
• Install and maintain various appliances and equipment
• Work safely and according to company procedures
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Complete job cards and required documentation
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles
• Travel to customer sites throughout the Helderberg and surrounding areas

🔹 Requirements:

• Previous experience in a technical, maintenance, plumbing, electrical, gas or mechanical environment
• Strong practical and problem-solving ability
• Good understanding of tools and equipment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver's licence (essential/preferred)
• Reliable, punctual and physically fit
• Professional and presentable
• Willing to work at customer sites
• Must live in Strand, Somerset West or the surrounding Helderberg area

Advantageous:
• LPG/gas installation experience
• Gas qualification or SAQCC registration
• Plumbing or electrical experience
• Experience with geysers, appliances, heat pumps, air-conditioning or solar systems
