Hybrid (Rosebank, Johannesburg) with Extensive Travel to Mining Operations

About the Role

As a Systems Implementer, you will be the on-site bridge between technology and people. You will lead the implementation of IT and Information Management solutions across multiple mining sites, ensuring systems, hardware, and processes are successfully deployed with minimal operational disruption. At the same time, you will drive user adoption through training, coaching, stakeholder engagement, and change enablement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

Systems Implementation & Support

Install, configure, test, and deploy new systems, hardware, software, and infrastructure solutions.
Support system cutovers, user provisioning, data migrations, and go-live activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and hyper-care periods.
Work with technical teams to identify and escalate defects and improvement opportunities.

Change Enablement & User Adoption

Act as a trusted advisor and on-site change champion.
Build strong relationships with end-users, supervisors, operational teams, and senior stakeholders.
Identify adoption challenges and support users through change journeys.
Monitor user engagement and recommend interventions to improve adoption.

Training & Capability Building

Deliver user training, system familiarisation sessions, and floor-walking support.
Create practical training materials, job aids, and quick reference guides.
Assist users with daily system usage and best-practice guidance.
Maintain training attendance records and implementation documentation.

Reporting & Governance

Maintain implementation records, issue logs, testing documentation, and site reports.
Track progress, risks, adoption metrics, and implementation outcomes.
Coordinate site activities while ensuring compliance with client and MetaLAB standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

3 to 5 years' experience in systems implementation, IT support, infrastructure deployment, or change enablement.
Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Information Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Practical knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and system integration.
Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, and Forms.
Valid driver's licence (Code 08 or higher).
Willingness and ability to travel extensively to remote and operational mining sites.

Advantageous Experience

Mining or resources sector experience.
Exposure to managed services or professional services environments.
Knowledge of change management methodologies, particularly ADKAR.
Technical certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or equivalent.
Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing platforms.
Fluency in Sepedi, Xitsonga, and/or Tshivenda.
