Syspro Lead

SUMMARY:
Our client in the beverage industry has a Syspro Lead position available in Devland, Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

The Supply Chain Syspro Lead is responsible for leading the implementation, testing, and stabilisation of all supply chain processes, ensuring that they are aligned to the Syspro ERP environment. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Process Ownership

Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of end-to-end supply chain processes covering:

• Raw material receiving and quality release
• Inventory and warehouse management
• Production material movements
• Finished goods handling and storage
• Order picking, dispatch, and delivery confirmation
• Batch, lot, and shelf-life management E

Ensure all processes are standardised, scalable, and aligned with best practice supply chain principles.

2. Warehouse Management & Inventory Control

Review and align existing warehouse processes to Syspro, including:

• Warehouse and bin location structures
• Stock movements and inventory visibility
• Stock rotation
• Cycle counting and stock reconciliation
• Inventory accuracy controls
• Warehouse replenishment processes

Ensure all inventory transactions are electronically controlled and traceable.

3. Barcode Scanning & Mobility

Lead the deployment of barcode and mobile scanning solutions across:

• Receiving
• Production
• Warehousing
• Dispatch
• Logistics operations

Ensure scanning processes support real-time inventory accuracy and traceability.

5. SYSPRO Go-Live Readiness

Work with implementation partners to ensure that Syspro is configured relative to Sir Fruits business requirements and validate supply chain functional requirements within:

• Inventory Management
• Compliance with Health and Safety regulations
• Traceability
• Procurement
• Manufacturing
• Sales and Distribution

Lead:

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Process validation
• Data verification
• Cutover planning
• Go-live readiness assessments

6. Change Management & Training

Support the change management and training team, ensuring that the following activities are adequately addressed:

• End-user training
• Super-user development
• Process documentation aligned and SOP’s
• Work instructions and training materials

Act as the primary business champion for supply chain transformation.

7. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Ensure that operational dashboards are developed to measure the following KPIs:

• Inventory performance
• Inventory accuracy > 98%
• Picking accuracy > 99.5%
• Reduction in stock losses
• Warehouse efficiency
• Full batch traceability within 4 hours
• Customer service levels (Improved OTIF performance)
• Cost to serve
• Supply chain productivity
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and operational improvement.

Key Deliverables

The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering:

1. Process Deliverables

• End-to-end supply chain process maps
• Approved SOPs and work instructions

2. System Deliverables

• Ensuring that the ERP is appropriately configured and operational
• Implementation of the barcode scanning solution
• Developing the warehouse bin structure
• Ensuring that the End-to-end traceability solution is implemented in line with business requirements
• Supply chain workflows are tested and approved

3. Project Deliverables

• Successful traing of all supply chain users
• Successful UAT sign-off
• Go-live readiness approval
• Adequate hypercare support and stabilisation
• Knowledge transfer to operational teams 

 Qualifications

1. Essential

Degree in one of the following disciplines:

• Supply Chain Management
• Logistics
• Industrial Engineering
• Operations Management
• Information Systems

2. Preferred

• SYSPRO Certification
• Project Management qualification
• Lean or Continuous Improvement certification

Experience

1. Essential

• 5–10 years'''' experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing, or Logistics
• Minimum 3 years'''' ERP implementation experience
• Experience with barcode scanning and inventory control systems

2. Highly Desirable

• FMCG, Food, Beverage, or Manufacturing environments
• SYSPRO ERP implementation experience
• Mobile warehouse technologies

Positioning within the Programme: This role should be positioned as the Supply Chain Workstream Lead within the SYSPRO implementation programme, with accountability for the end-to-end process stream from supplier receipt through production, warehousing, dispatch, and customer delivery.
