R216 cost to company

My client is looking for a seasoned subcontractors’ clerk to join their team. The successful candidate will provide accounting services to the business and ensure that accurate accounting records are kept.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuring that all documentation is filed weekly
Oversee adherence to all company practices
Following up on advance payments and items to be credited/corrected
Evaluating subcontractor’s letters of goods standing
Matching tax invoices to payment advice
Overseeing all letters are valid and all subcontractors are covered under workman’s compensation act
Ensuring invoices are recorded and paid timeously and are processed within specific payment terms
Capturing invoices and ensuring correct VAT allocation and tax invoice are properly coded and authorized
Communicating with Quantity Surveyors regarding queries
Ensuring validity of company documents submitted for new subcontractors before loading them onto the system

Qualification and Experience

Diploma in Bookkeeping/ Finance

3-5 years’ experience
Extensive Cashbook/Clerical Accounting experience
Buildsmart experience advantageous
