SUMMARY:
Engineering company in Gauteng is looking for a suitably qualified Structural Engineering Draughtsman to join their team in Centurion.Â Â

Qualifications and minimum requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Basic understanding of mathematics and physics
Engineering / Draughting certificate or diploma
Autodesk suite of programs such as AutoCAD (Proficiency 5+ years) & Bim360 (Proficiency 2+ Years);
Revit (Proficiency 2+ Years);
Knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel (non-negotiable)
Basic understanding of structures (Concrete, Steel, and timber)
Ability to assess and understand architectural layouts in order to coordinate and overlay with structural layouts

Experience:

Minimum 3 - 7 Years in retail, commercial and residential steel and concrete structures (Timber, Petrochemical and Agriculture will be advantageous)
A thorough understanding of reinforcement steel and detailing (Preparation of bending schedules)
Preparation of concrete drawings (layouts, sections, and details)
Preparation of structural steel layouts, sections, and details
Site experience â assisting the engineer/project manager with site inspections, measurements, and surveys

Computer literacy:

Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
AutoCAD 3D
Autodesk Revit - Non negotiable
Autodesk BIM360
Prokon Probar (Reinforcement detailing software)
Prokon (will be advantageous)

Personal attributes:

To be always professional and to perform duties in an orderly manner ensuring the companies values and reputation is upheld;
To work well under pressure (management and prioritisation of project deadlines and/or milestones is critical and must always be adhered to â Non-negotiable);
To perform duties with minimal supervision.

POSITION INFO:
Position available for a qualified Structural Engineering Draughtsman. Must have: Grade 12 (Matric), Basic understanding of mathematics and physics, Engineering / Draughting certificate or diploma, Autodesk suite of programs such as AutoCAD & Bim360, Revit (Proficiency 2+ Years) â Advanced will be advantageous, Knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel (non-negotiable)
