Structural Engineer

SUMMARY:
Are you ready to bring your structural expertise into the world of precision steel fabrication and manufacturing? Our client, a leader in the steel construction industry, is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you’ll work on high-impact structural projects, focusing on steel structures and custom fabrication. You’ll collaborate with a hands-on, experienced team committed to delivering robust, high-quality steel solutions for commercial, industrial, and bespoke builds.

POSITION INFO:

Designing tasks related to mining and other structures.
Managing document flow within a professional team
Working with engineers on the steel structures
Review and interpret structural and fabrication design for steel structures and building projects
Identify discrepancies, errors, or clashes within drawings and coordinate with the design team for resolutions
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
Provide technical support to project managers, fabricators, and site teams
 
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience on Tekla Structures (Non-negotiable), Prokon and AutoCad
Proven ability to read and interpret complex structural and fabrication drawings.
Solid understanding of steel structures, connection details, and load paths.
Familiarity with relevant codes (e.g., SANS, Eurocode, or AISC).
 
Qualification:
B.Eng or B.Sc in Civil Engineering
