SUMMARY:
An experienced Storeman is required in Addo and will report to the Materials Manager.

POSITION INFO:

The criteria and requirements are as follows:

Matric
Valid driver’s licence with own transport
Ability to work independently
Previous stock controlling experience
Previous experience of managing a small group of people
SAP experience will be advantageous
Accuracy and trustworthy worker

Overview of key activities:

- Housekeeping

- Goods Receipt in SAP

- Goods Issue in SAP

- Placing PRs in SAP

- Handling queries in SAP

- Inspecting stock upon arrival to ensure it matches what was ordered and what is on delivery note

- Weekly Cycle Counts

- Quarterly full stock count

- Requesting new material codes

- Determining stacking patterns

- Ensure FIFO is maintained

- Ensure batch management is maintained

- Maintain min max levels

- Monitor chemical expiry dates and highlight when chemicals are close to expiry date

- Advise on slow running stock

- Diesel issuing, ordering and dip readings

- Organising waste collections from suppliers

- Organising disposal of old containers and pallets

- Completion of Health & Safety checklists

- Staging of chemicals for packing into chemical carts

- Special non-stock PR creation for the following

- Water

- Security

- Eskom

- Rentokil

- Municipality

- Couriers

- Licences

- Calibration of scales

- Siza membership

- Labour contracting

Maintenance:

- HSE best practises implementation

- Weekly and Monthly Planning and Scheduling of maintenance

- Follow up on quotes and approval process – Make sure Order numbers have been received.

- Planning the services of all vehicles and ordering the parts for the service

- Follow tractor hours closely and plan services.

- Control tools and manage workshop inventory.

- Oversee the maintenance team (currently 5 people)

- Attend zone meetings and give feedback

- General Admin Tasks as required by Area Manager.

- Record keeping and administration of leave &Time keeping.
