STORE MANAGER

Reports To: Regional Manager
Liaises With: Store Staff and Head Office

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.

• Minimum 3 years’ retail management or supervisory experience.

• Bilingual in English and at least one other language.

• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good administrative and organisational ability.

• Strong customer-service orientation.

• Sound understanding of stock control, sales and retail operations.

• Basic HR/IR and performance-management knowledge.

• Ability to manage budgets, expenses and store targets.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the store.

• Drive sales and ensure store targets are achieved.

• Lead, motivate and manage store staff.

• Manage staff performance, training and development.

• Prepare staff schedules and delegate daily responsibilities.

• Ensure high standards of customer service throughout the store.

• Manage customer queries, complaints and orders.

• Oversee daily banking, cash-ups and store expenses.

• Monitor wages and operational costs within budget.

• Manage stock counts, stock takes and stock adjustments.

• Ensure accurate receiving, pricing and processing of stock.

• Maintain required store administration, reports and records.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Maintain effective communication between the store, Regional Manager and Head Office.
