Store Administrator - Cashier Relief

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established business in the retail sector, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Store Administrator to join their team in Milnerton, Cape Town. This position also includes providing relief cashier support as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of retail experience, a solid understanding of MS Office (including Excel and Pastel), and strong accuracy and client service skills. A basic financial understanding and a Matric certificate are essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• At least 1 year of retail experience (preferred)
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with MS Office, including Excel and Pastel
• Strong client orientation and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic financial understanding

• Pick and pack stock accurately and efficiently
• Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers on arrival and departure
• Manage transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Ensure accuracy in quantity and pricing during sales
• Process invoices and check picking slips
• Accept payments via cash and credit card
• Confirm that payments are reflecting correctly in the company’s accounts
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required
• Participate in regular stock takes and inventory check
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
