Stock Controller - Germiston

SUMMARY:
Our client within the Industrial Tape Sector is urgently looking for a Stock Controller to join their expanding team, to be based in Germiston.

POSITION INFO:

Job Specification

Managing the accuracy of stock received and dispatched out of the warehouse
Capturing interbranch transfers and stock receipts
Preparing IBT Documentation to other branches
Arranging courier for customers and branch deliveries
Highlight stock variances
Prepare daily delivery trips and liaise with drivers
Drivers contact in the event of a problem during deliveries
Checking of returned trip sheets and PODs
Issuing GRV’s for stock returned for credit
Placing of purchase orders for buyouts and arranging collections with the drivers
Assisting on stock planning and forecasting from Head office in line with monthly demands
Monitoring of health, safety and sanitation levels in the stores.
Preparation of Bi-Annual stock takes
Control of perpetual stock counts as well as monthly audits
Assisting with warehouse layout and identifying problem areas
Assisting in monitoring stock levels
Control and management of consumable packaging material in the plant
Inspection of fleet: Windscreen, tyres, mileage, license disk expiry, booking of services
Forklifts inspection
Ordering of stationery, printer cartridges, ribbons, and office consumables

Minimum Requirements

Matric
No criminal record
Driver’s license
Good communication and leadership skills
Strong personality
Forklift license (preferable but not mandatory)
Some level of Tertiary education/diploma recommended
Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar function
Pastel experience (particularly Evolution) required
