Stock Controller - Workshop and Stores

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

Grade 12
A Warehousing / Operations / Logistics Qualification
Tertiary Production and Stock Management related Qualification

Requirements

Minimum 3 years'' experience working in the warehousing / logistics field
Minimum 2 years'' experience working on Pastel Accounting system capturing stock
Full knowledge of Company Health & Safety policies and procedures
Valid Forklift License
Valid Drivers License and own transport to work after hours when required

Duties

Arranging factory parts and material for manufacturing to ensure correct stock control
Ensuring stock is placed in correct bins and locations
Controlling of signing out and signing back in of stock extracted by staff
Receiving stock being delivered and ensuring correct documentation is completed
Compare delivery notes and invoices
Notify management of any stock discrepancies
Doing spot checks on deliveries to customers
Implementing stock control on Pastel Accounting system in an accurate manner
Full accountability for the store room ensuring correct markings on stock, correct placements and correct dispatch.
Sourcing best priced quality items from suppliers for all relevant goods and placing orders with suppliers
Assist with maintaining inventory files during and before stock counts and cycle counts.
