Stock Controller

SUMMARY:
Stock Controller required for our Client who offers high quality innovative overhead cranes (overhead bridge cranes, lifting equipment, overhead gantry crane, overhead girder crane, overhead jib cranes, overhead portal cranes, overhead cranes etc.), hoists and lifting equipment designed and manufactured for high speed and optimum flexibility.

POSITION INFO:
ROLE TYPE
This contract will be for a full-time position. The Employee will be required to be present at the premises of the company Monday – Thursday from 07:00 to 16:30, and Friday from 07:00 to 15:00. Over-time will be necessary from time to time, depending on the workload and month- end.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
The employee will have an integral role to play in the company, as they will be overseeing the movement of stock on a daily basis, and will ensure stock levels remain at a reasonable level to prevent shortages. The employee will work hand-in-hand with the Accounts department, Sales department and the Service and Maintenance department to ensure that all requisition of stock is handled and submitted for processing. They will report to the Client’s Financial Manager, Managing Director, as well as the Group Directors.

The Stock Controller will have the following responsibilities to fulfil:

• Dispatch stock items to technicians and necessary staff members upon receipt of Picking Slip and requests from Management.
• Monitor the minimum re-order level of stock items to ensure orders are placed timeously to prevent shortage of stock items.
• Assist with the picking and stripping of stock items required for customers.
• Maintain the Stores Area to ensure no misplacement or loss of stock.
• Perform daily cycle Stock Counts as provided by the Accounts Team.
• Communicate with the Procurement Team on a regular basis of spares to re-order and any other stock items required.
• Prepare weekly reports to be submitted to Management on the status of the Stores.
• Oversee the delivery of stock items and collection of stock from Suppliers.
• Tracking of imported shipments from various suppliers.
