Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Accept shipments by unloading, loading, and verifying shipments. Receives items, unloads vehicles, accepts deliveries, and unpack boxes.
- Receives and stocks incoming supplies and Material by verifying, identifying information and quantities are correct.
- Verifies items received by condition of items, comparing counts/measure of items to purchase order, and packing list, noting discrepancies. Placing and recording material in inventory.
- Generate requisitions and following up on incoming goods.
- Maintain up to date records and registers.
- Prepare shipments by pulling material, invoicing, packing, protecting, and labelling containers.
- Complete all import and export documentation correctly. Communicating and updating suppliers, transport companies, customs, customers, and management.
- Arrange the transportation of goods via appropriate courier, air freight companies, and filling out of waybills / dispatch instruction sheet. Acquire freight quotations.
- Ensure that goods being shipped match the corresponding order.
- Interfaces with other departments in the resolution of over shipments, and quality issues, payments etc.
- Perform cycle counts of stock items and stock take. Inventory Control. Enter stockroom transactions, including receipts, issues, etc.
- Assist Admin Manager and team.
- Maintain a safe clean and orderly work area.
