Staff Nurse

Our client, a retirement home in the Helderberg area, has an opportunity for a Registered Staff Nurse to join their team.

The position involves the full spectrum of geriatric care for the elderly in the retirement home and in the frail care unit.

Requirements:

• Must be a registered Staff Nurse with a valid annual registration with the SA Nursing Council.
• At least 5 years’ experience of elderly care, as recently as 6 months’ ago.
• Knowledgeable and skilled with regards to medication rounds.
• Good wound care knowledge and skills.
• Infection control experience, specifically with regards to Covid 19 regulations within the elderly care environment.
• Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Proficiency in writing reports.
• Must be a strong leader.
• Must have relevant experience with regards to the management of geriatric conditions.
• Must be willing to work shifts that include day and night shifts, and weekends.
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Area: Helderberg area – Strand / Somerset West.

Salary offered: ±R18 000 per month – depending on qualifications and experience.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
