Spray Painter

SUMMARY:
Position: Spray Painter (Walls, Furniture and Fixtures)
Location: Bantry Bay, Cape Town

POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a motivated Spray Painter to join the hotel’s engineering and maintenance team. The successful candidate will ensure all furniture, fixtures, and surfaces throughout the property are maintained to the highest luxury standards, delivering flawless finishes that reflect the hotel’s commitment to excellence.

Critical Criteria (Requirements)

• Proven experience as a Spray Painter in a commercial, industrial, or hospitality environment
• Knowledge of paints, coatings, and finishing techniques
• Understanding of safety procedures and proper use of protective equipment (PPE)
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a Spray Painter or similar role, preferably in a hotel, industrial, or commercial setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under deadlines
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Must hold a valid South African ID

Key Competencies

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
• Apply spray paint and coatings using spray guns or other tools to achieve smooth, uniform finishes
• Inspect work for defects and perform touch-ups as necessary
• Clean, maintain, and safely store painting equipment and tools
• Report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the Maintenance Manager
• Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines, including PPE usage and ventilation standards
• Follow environmental and chemical handling regulations
• Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance team on refurbishment and repair projects
• Assist with other maintenance-related tasks as required to support smooth hotel operations

Package on Offer

• Basic salary (TBA)
