Our client, suppliers of products to the Construction and Civils market is requiring a Spray Painter
Location: Port Elizabet/Gqeberha
Job type: On-site
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers or undercoats.
- Mix and match paint colours to specifications or customer requirements.
- Apply paint using spray guns or other equipment in controlled environments
- Mask and protect areas not to be painted.
- Ensure proper drying and curing times between coats.
- Inspect finished work for quality, uniformity, and defects.
- Follow all safety and environmental protocols including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain clean and organised work areas.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 preferred
- Spray Painter qualification advantageous.
- Experience as a spray painter in an automotive, industrial, or manufacturing environment (typically 2+ years).
- Experience with different types of paints (e.g. water-based, solvent-based, powder coating) is an advantage.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of spray painting techniques and equipment.
- Good eye for detail and colour matching.
- Understanding of safety practices and regulations.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
