SolidWorks Draftsman

SUMMARY:
A well-established mould manufacturing company based in Brackenfell is seeking a SolidWorks Draftsman (Junior or Senior) to join our team.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, designing, and producing accurate technical drawings of components used in mould manufacturing.
This role is suited to a technically skilled individual with strong attention to detail and experience in mechanical drafting.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure existing components accurately using appropriate measuring instruments
• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks
• Develop component and assembly drawings for manufacturing
• Modify and update existing drawings as required
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and technical specifications
• Liaise with toolmakers, machinists, and production teams to ensure design accuracy
• Maintain proper drawing records and revision control

• Relevant technical qualification (Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or similar)
• 1–3 years’ experience using SolidWorks
• Basic understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Relevant technical qualification
• 5+ years’ experience in SolidWorks drafting
• Strong understanding of mould manufacturing processes
• Experience measuring components and reverse engineering
• Ability to work independently and manage drawing projects

• Proficient in SolidWorks (2D & 3D modelling)
• Strong technical and mechanical understanding
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
