SUMMARY:
Solar Engineer – Table Bay Harbour, Western Province –

POSITION INFO:

Electrical business for over 50 years and requires to remodel itself to align with new electrical trends such as solar and back up power.

 

Minimum Requirements:

ØTo be comfortable with a specific brand of inverter and power bank – e.g.:  Victron / Tessler – or any other reputable brand that can be offered to our clients.
ØTo have a sound background on the mounting procedures of solar panels which comply with the relevant warrantees of the manufacturer and supplier.
ØA good understanding of how to specify a sized unit, installation methods and sound knowledge of making use of apps to relay information to clients in a professional manner.
ØTo be a team leader and to be able to delegate installations under 1 MVA.
ØTo have sound references we can call on to ensure your work ethics and productivity is outstanding.
ØA valid driver’s licence.
ØTo be able to use Word / Excel and be computer literate.
ØA minimum of 5 years in the line of solar works – current and up to date with latest solar applications.

 

Persons that would best suit this position – but not mandatory requirements: 

ØRed Seal Electrical Trade Test.
ØTo have some understanding of electrical in that other jobs can be done that may not pertain only to solar.
ØA PV Green card.
