SUMMARY:
Soft Collections Officer
Location: Sandton
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Salary: R20,000 – R24,000 per month

About the Role:
We’re looking for a strong communicator with experience in collections and customer service. The ideal candidate will be able to build trust with clients, identify red flags, and handle sensitive payment matters with professionalism and care.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor client accounts post-funding for performance and red flags
• Investigate delays in payments and gather clarification from clients
• Report findings to internal teams
• Contact overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements
• Use investigative tools to locate hard-to-reach clients
• Maintain records of all collections activity
• Resolve customer complaints related to repayments
• Provide regular reports on account status and collections progress

• Matric (relevant diploma/degree is a plus)
• 3–4 years of experience in customer service and collections
• Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build trust and probe for accurate information
• Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and payment terms
