Social Media Community Manager - Group Brand - (EE) -Cape Town

SUMMARY:
Seeking a Group Brand Social Media Community Manager with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field and proven working experience as a Community Manager plus experience in launching Social media initiatives, for an EE position with a large corporate in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose

• Responsible for the writing and maintaining of the social media content calendar and may liaise with PR agency to manage this.  
• Demonstrate sound digital online knowledge of search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, online advertising, partnerships, PR,  social media and the monitoring and distributing of queries received via websites.
• Identify content ideas around topical events and manage all internal and external approvals. Collaborate with internal teams on social media initiatives and pertinent discussions regarding the brand and the industry and reports on social media activities. 
• Collaborate across teams to provide educational workshops  and supports Marketing Manager in various PR related activities.

 Responsibilities

• Increase brand consideration, engagement and brand loyalty by developing the Group’s connection with their audience
• Grow brand fan base by helping position the Group as an original, relatable and dependable brand.
• Help build brand personality and consumer trust.
• Always-on monitoring of all Group and competitor social media platforms.
• Daily monitoring of social media landscape.
• Actively researching and engaging on current affairs and hot topics, fuelling conversation to the benefit of the Group brand
• Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner.
• Support in social media crisis management.
• Participate in events (Group, industry, etc.) to build community and boost brand awareness.
• Collaborate with agency to develop and distribute engaging text, image and video content for social media.
• Monitor and report on online sentiment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Assimilate feedback from online communities about our products or campaigns.
• Coordinate with marketing, PR and communications teams to leverage activity and ensure brand consistency.
• Build online relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists.
• Stay up to date with current industry, cultural and technical trends.

 Requirements

Qualifications

• Batchelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field.

Experience

• Proven working experience as a Community Manager
• Experience in launching Social media initiatives.
