Site Supervisor Rail / Locomotive Services

SUMMARY:
Responsible for supervising and managing the on-site team, ensuring safe and efficient operations, maintenance, compliance and service delivery in line with client requirements.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and lead Train Drivers, Shunters and Artisans.
• Manage shift rosters and ensure adequate staffing.
• Ensure compliance with production schedules and client requirements.
• Plan and oversee maintenance and breakdown activities.
• Maintain required site documentation, risk assessments and method statements.
• Conduct Planned Task Observations (PTOs).
• Ensure full Health & Safety compliance.
• Provide regular operational updates to management and the client.
• Maintain a strong, professional relationship with the client.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Qualified Train Driver with 3–5 years driving experience.
• 3 to 5 years experience in the locomotive/rail industry.
• 2 to 3 years supervisory experience.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
