Job Responsibilities:

Pipe and Valve preparation and fitting

• Read and interpret drawings
• Measure lay out area
• Groove, cut, weld, grind and thread pipes and steel
• Assemble and fit pipes and valves
• Install pipes and valves
• Manufacture and install brackets
• Lift and rig equipment
• Commissioning and fault finding on valve and pipe fittings

Electrical equipment and installation

• Read and interpret electrical drawings
• Install panels, devices, and cabinets
• Install conduits and racks
• Install and chemically splice cables
• Gland and terminate cables
• Wire panels and devices
• Conduct loop testing

Commissioning

• Calibrate sensors and instruments
• Setup and program panels
• Conduct fault finding on systems and panels
• Conduct functional testing
• Assist with completion of hand over documentation

Supervise

• Monitor assistants on an ongoing basis
• Conduct Planned Task Observation (PTO’s) as per site requirements
• Stand in for site manager as and when required
• Provide on the job training on an ongoing basis

Planning

• Schedule and organize work plan
• Ensure that stock levels are adequate daily
• Ensure correct allocation of tools daily
• Arrange access control and permits daily
• Arrange transport for equipment as and when required
• Ensure that tools and equipment are stored in a safe lay down area

General work

• Ensure good housekeeping on an ongoing basis
• Prepare brackets for mounting equipment as and when required
• Prepare surfaces and paint as and when required
• Use tools effectively for specific tasks
• Inspect tools daily and report defective tools
• Conduct PPE inspection

Administration

• Compile daily diaries and reports and ensure sign off by client
• Monitor stock levels daily
• Conduct Quality Control Plan (QCP) on a daily basis
• Complete timesheets daily
• Complete red line as Built drawings indicating deviations
• Assist with invoice documentation as and when required
• Attend site specific meetings as and when required

• Ensure health and safety of employees
• Comply to all other relevant regulation
