POSITION INFO:

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of this post is to oversee all Protection Services initiatives and operational activities on the allocated Campus ensuring safety of the university community and physical assets in line with the Protection Services strategies and standards in support of the university’s goals and objectives.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Operational duties Training and mentoring Operational support of special events, response plans, safety plans and emergency operations on designated campus Initiate crime strategies action Administration and reporting Security systems and infrastructure Stakeholder and vendor management
CORE COMPETENCIES
MS Office skills Supervisory skills Teamwork and Collaboration Basic investigation and processing of evidence skills Verbal and written communication skills Interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Excellent knowledge of security systems and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 M+3 should be ND: Policing, Security Management, Law as well as Law Enforcement 3 years’ experience as a Supervisor or in managerial level. PSIRA A grade registration Valid code 08/EB driver’s licence Valid Level 1 First Aid Certificate Preferable: Special Events Training Certification related to Security field and Basic Firefighting training.
