Salary R25 000 – R35 000 per month (Depending on Experience)

Travel Requirement This role requires regular travel and staying away from home approximately 1–2 weeks per month.

Job Summary

A leading company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Site Laboratory Quality Manager to ensure all site laboratories operate in full compliance with SANAS 17025 standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the setup, operation, auditing, and ongoing compliance of multiple site laboratories. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to implement corrective actions and maintain quality standards across all laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all site laboratories are established and maintained according to SANAS 17025 standards.
• Oversee equipment calibration, environmental conditions, quality systems, and laboratory documentation.
• Conduct regular internal audits and compliance inspections of site laboratories.
• Identify non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Train and support laboratory staff on SANAS 17025 compliance requirements and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of audits, corrective actions, compliance activities, and quality documentation.
• Prepare and submit compliance and quality reports to management and relevant authorities.
• Monitor and improve laboratory quality systems and processes continuously.
• Ensure all laboratory activities meet company, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Work independently across multiple sites while maintaining high-quality standards.

Minimum Requirements (qualifications and Experience)

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar laboratory quality or compliance management role.
• Thorough working knowledge and practical experience with SANAS 17025 standards and requirements.
• Strong auditing, documentation, and reporting experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site laboratories.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in compliance-related systems and software.
