A wellâestablished construction and mining services operation is seeking an experienced Site Agent – Earthworks to oversee and manage siteâbased earthworks activities.
The role is responsible for the dayâtoâday execution, supervision, and control of earthworks operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to required quality standards. This position suits a handsâon site leader with strong earthworks and production experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control all earthworks activities including bulk earthworks, cut and fill, layerworks, platforms, and access roads
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Supervise site teams, foremen, operators, and subcontractors
- Coordinate plant, equipment, labour, and materials to achieve production targets
- Monitor daily and weekly progress and report against programme
- Work closely with planners, engineers, and project managers
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance on site
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and progress documentation
- Ensure quality standards are met and manage inspections and testing
- Address site challenges, risks, and variations proactively
Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction with a strong focus on earthworks
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Supervisor
- Solid knowledge of bulk earthworks methods and heavy plant operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Advantageous Experience
- Earthworks experience within mining or miningârelated infrastructure projects
- Exposure to productionâdriven construction environments
- Knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements
- Valid driver’s license
