My client a leading and well known company requires a competent Shopper Marketing Account Executive to join their team in Paarden Island, Cape Town.
CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To increase business capacity by effectively marketing the business unit with specific focus on Shopper Marketing with a view to forging strong rewarding relationships.
To achieve / exceed targeted budgets aimed at growing sustainable sales and profits of the Business Unit and organisation through the development of business partnerships, which provide a total Shopper Marketing solution to the client.
The Shopper Marketing Accounts Executive will support shopper marketing key clients in improving the effectiveness of their promotions and new product introduction.
Requiremnents:
Related degree or post graduate qualification
Minimum 5-10 year’s experience in Shopper Marketing, Data, BTL experience
SA Citizens only
Must be Cape town based

PRINCIPLE DELIVERABLES
Actively seek out new and potential business
Proactive in converting client’s occasional business to long term contractual business for the business unit.
Ensure the maintenance of contracts for the business unit
Ensure the maximum extraction value from clients
Achieve and Exceed budgets
Comply with sales plan
Contribute to weekly sales report meetings
Develop strategic business plans
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients
Formulation and implementation of account development plans
Prepare and present plan to achieve objectives (key account plan).
Credit management.
Identify new potential opportunities
Provide category and merchandise strategy consulting to key clients in order to support their retail operations
Draw from client and company developed data sets to provide a set of tools which can provide continuous improvement feedback on promotional effectiveness
Analyse and review services to client promotional strategies
Provide brands with insights on formal and informal retail execution opportunities and challenges
Work with brands to align their strategies with that of the key retail partners
Managing forecast and budgets aligned with company all sources of price, product, sales, and market data into a model that is accessible and reusable by the wider business
Provide an internal review and critique service to creative pitch work for brands to validate optimal channel impact
Partner with the sales team to join on client strategy, their promotional reviews and provide expert insights and commentary as required
Coach and support staff on challenges faced by brands and retailers, and investigate opportunities for the company to add value in this area
Maintain Effective Communication
Share knowledge with other account executives and draw on skills of experts where require to fulfil customer requirements.
Effective communication with creative and shopper marketing team.
Advise management about market conditions, brand / product performance and competition affecting targeted industries.
Provide manager with weekly sales report
Track and report on key sales indicators to Sales manager.
Develop Knowledge and Skills
Study the operations and performance of accounts and analyse competitive activity.
Establish (with senior management) job development objectives and carry out plans to achieve them.
