Key responsibilities:

• Welcome customers, provide product information, and assist with their purchases.
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and address customer inquiries promptly.
• Manage payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily cash transactions accurately.
• Receive and verify deliveries, and maintain updated stock records.
• Coordinate customer collections and deliveries efficiently.
• Keep the shop, displays, and storage areas clean, orderly, and safe for both staff and customers.
• Handle customer complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate sales, payment, and delivery records.
• Adhere to company policies regarding security, stock management, and workplace safety.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in retail, shopkeeping, or counter sales.
• Familiarity with stock control, cash management, and basic administrative tasks.
• Proficiency in using computers, including email and point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong numerical abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy in work.
• Capability to work independently and oversee daily shop operations effectively.
• Experience in water tanks, plumbing, hardware, or related products is a plus.
