Shift Manager (Cornubia KZN)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the job is to plan and manage the operational requirements of warehousing shift at the right cost and at the right quality standards.

Responsibilities:

ØShift outcome achieves customer contractual services levels.

ØShift expenditures are managed within shift budget cost overruns for shift is investigated and appropriate countermeasures are instituted to prevent further overruns.

ØMonitor and enforce procedural compliance on shift staff on shift is trained on company procedure. Corrective action for all non-conformances on shift.

ØContinuous improvements for shift actively pursued. Hold staff on shift to account.

ØConsistently disciplined and trained staff on shift. Schedule and conduct / Hold staff meetings.

ØResolve staff issues and queries promptly.

ØTrain and develop staff.

ØDecisions taken guided by company values / values into account.

ØEmployees are constantly reminded of values.

ØResponsible for shift planning by planning shifts in advance.

ØShift plan includes staffing and equipment according to volume and timing. Report on Shift outcome (Plan vs. Actual)

ØEnsures accurate recording of staff time and attendance.

ØCommunicate plan before shift.

ØUnsafe matters corrected immediately on shift.

ØShift documentation is complete and accurate for all activities.

ØDocumentation is filed on shift completion.

ØShift Quality.

ØCost Control.

ØProcedural Compliance.

ØReporting.

ØAdministration.

Ø

Job Requirements:

ØGrade 12 is compulsory with Relevant Tertiary Degree, Honours Degree in Business / Supply Chain Management or similar.

Ø3-5 Years’ experience in Warehousing & Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS Management.

ØIntermediate to advanced Computer literacy MS Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, Advanced (WMS) Skills and GP skills.
