Shift Controller

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Shift Controller to lead production activities and ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will manage people, production processes, and plant performance while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Execute the weekly production plan.
• Monitor production performance and improve efficiency.
• Reduce waste and maintain product quality.
• Coordinate maintenance to maximise machine uptime.
• Ensure raw materials and finished goods are available.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and coach production employees.
• Manage leave, performance, and employee relations.
• Conduct performance discussions and support staff development.
• Promote effective communication within the team.

Administration

• Complete and maintain production and shift documentation.
• Ensure production sheets, work orders, quality checks, cleaning records, and stock records are accurate.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and company procedures.
• Train employees on safe working practices.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive teamwork and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and processes.
• Lead problem-solving initiatives to resolve production issues.

Minimum Requirements

• BTech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing plant.

Advantageous

• Experience in food, beverage, or metal can manufacturing.
• At least 3 years' experience as a Shift Supervisor managing a manufacturing plant.
