SUMMARY:
Sheet Metal Sales Technician

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a motivated, technically minded, customer-focused candiate to join our team in the sheet metal industry. The successful candidate will assist customers with sheet metal product enquiries, prepare quotations, provide basic technical advice, and help grow our client base.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.
Assist with preparing quotations based on technical drawings and customer requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Generate new business opportunities and identify potential customers.
Provide customers with basic technical advice regarding materials and manufacturing processes.
Read and interpret basic technical drawings and CAD designs.
Follow up on orders and liaise with production to ensure deadlines are met.
Assist with tracking orders from quotation stage through to delivery.

Minimum Requirements

National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
Technical qualification or a related field will be advantageous.
Basic ability to read and understand technical drawings or CAD drawings.
Good numerical, computer and Excel skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
0–2 years'''' experience in sales, manufacturing or a technical environment.
Eagerness to learn about sheet metal fabrication, including steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
