Brief description of the vacancy:

A sheet metal manufacturing company based in Pretoria is seeking a Draughtsman to start immediately

Responsibilities:

-          Reading of various drawings and ability to convert it into a Solidworks package

-          Schedule assignments and communicate details to all individuals in the CAD department

-          Participate in all production meetings

-          Generate complex drawings in Solidworks according to specifications

-          Do follow-up checks on completed drawings

-          Create Data Packages

-          Create cutting files

-          Understand the bending, laser, machining and welding procedures

-          Use of all measuring tools

-          Liaison with quality department

-          Identifying various components with regards to drawings

Experience required:

-          Min 3 - 5 years’ experience required in steel manufacturing

Experience in using measuring equipment like tape measure & vernier

Qualifications required:

-          Matric with Technical Drawings as a subject

-          Draughting qualification will be an advantage

Computer Skills required:

-          Competency in Microsoft applications including word, outlook & excel

-          Experience in Solidworks

-          Experience in AutoCAD

-          Experience in Sigmanest
