POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Shaft Timberman

Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineering Maintenance, maintain shaft to correct standard.
Pre-Start and Daily Checks: Complete equipment checks.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment up to standard.
Work Order Execution: Plan work orders.
Installation and Construction: Conduct construction work in shafts.
Communication: Report operational problems.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / N3 / Equivalent.
Certified as a Shaft Timberman.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in underground mining, 3 years as a Shaft Timberman.
Knowledge:
Shaft examination, maintenance, blasting, and underground mining.
