SUMMARY:
Servicing Financial Advisor (Investment Focus)

POSITION INFO:

Exciting Career Opportunity: Servicing Financial Advisor (Investment Focus)
Location: Newlands, Cape Town Remuneration: Competitive Basic Salary + Commission Working Model: Office-based / Hybrid (Client-facing)

Are you tired of the "commission-only" grind? Ready to step into a secure role with an established client base?

We are looking for a highly qualified, ambitious, and bilingual (Afrikaans & English) young professional to join a prestigious wealth management practice in Newlands, Cape Town.

This is a rare succession-planning opportunity: an established advisor is looking to hand over a lucrative, existing book of investment clients to a dedicated Servicing Financial Advisor. If you are currently working on a commission-only basis and are looking for the financial stability of a basic salary paired with high earning potential through commission, this is the perfect career move.

We are deeply committed to your growth and will fully support a candidate who is eager to study further (e.g., towards their CFP® designation).

The Role:
As a Servicing Financial Advisor, you will be meticulously guided through a handover process to take over the ongoing management, servicing, and growth of a mature book of investment clients. You will provide holistic wealth management advice, ensure exceptional client retention, and optimize existing portfolios.

Key Responsibilities & Investment Advisory Skills:
Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the inherited client book, building deep, multi-generational trust and conducting regular portfolio reviews.

Investment Strategy & Structuring: Analyze market trends and client risk profiles to recommend optimal asset allocations, local and offshore investments, and retirement solutions.

Financial Needs Analysis (FNA): Utilize industry-standard financial planning software to conduct comprehensive FNA and cash flow modeling.

Tax & Estate Planning: Understand and advise on the tax implications of various investment vehicles (e.g., Endowments, Retirement Annuities, Tax-Free Savings Accounts) and basic estate planning principles.

Compliance & Administration: Ensure all advice and record-keeping is strictly compliant with FAIS, FICA, and FSCA regulations. Maintain meticulous Records of Advice (ROA).

Portfolio Growth: Identify opportunities within the existing book for up-selling and cross-selling, while generating referrals through exceptional service.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: A completed BCom Degree (Commerce, Finance, or related) is non-negotiable.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of active experience in financial planning or wealth management.

Language: Must be fully bilingual, with fluent Afrikaans (spoken and written) being essential to service this specific client base.

Current Status: Ideally suited for someone currently in a commission-only advisory role looking for a stable basic salary structure.

Ambition: A strong desire to study further (e.g., Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning) to attain your CFP® designation.

Regulatory: Must meet FAIS Fit and Proper requirements (RE5 completed is highly advantageous).

What We Offer:
Financial Security: A solid basic salary to cover your living expenses, plus a lucrative commission structure on new business and specific servicing metrics.

An Existing Client Book: No cold-calling to build a book from scratch; you will be handed a portfolio of high-net-worth investment clients.

Career Development: Mentorship from an industry veteran and support for your continued academic and professional studies.

Prime Location: Based in the beautiful, professional hub of Newlands, Cape Town.

How to Apply: If you meet the criteria and are ready to take your wealth management career to the next level, please send your updated CV, a brief cover letter (in Afrikaans or English), and a copy of your degree to
