Service Technician

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to provide hands-on mechanical and electrical support for packaging machinery in the manufacturing sector. This role involves installation, commissioning, start-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery on client sites.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, report writing experience, and the ability to work independently while liaising effectively with clients. The role includes local and international travel.

Job Description:

• Perform mechanical and electrical commissioning, installation, and start-up of packaging machinery on-site
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime
• Rebuild equipment in compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
• Provide customer support, technical guidance, and training to clients and internal teams
• Manage projects, complete work orders, and ensure timely service delivery with high customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports to support service operations and project handovers

• 5–8 years’ post-trade experience as a Millwright within the packaging industry
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills for industrial machinery
• Proven experience in commissioning, installation, and start-up of packaging systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with clients and colleagues

• Trade-tested Millwright with recognized certification
• Valid driver’s license and passport, with willingness to travel locally and internationally
