SUMMARY:

Service Advisor / Auto Repair Shop Administrator – Automotive – Kyalami, Johannesburg

Are you a well-organised, service-driven professional with a passion for the automotive industry? Our client, a busy and reputable mechanical workshop based in Kyalami, is looking for a proactive Service Advisor / Administrator to run the front of house and ensure smooth workshop operations.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications Required

Matric (relevant post-matric qualification is an advantage)
Valid driver’s license and own transport

Skills and Experience Required

2+ years of experience in the automotive industry in an administrative or service advisor role
Experience in a sales position would be advantageous
Strong customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Experience working with workshop systems and quoting platforms
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
Confident in liaising with clients and technical staff
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Job Description:

As the Workshop Administrator / Service Advisor, you will be responsible for:

Check vehicles in and liaise with clients throughout the service/repair process
Prepare and follow up on quotes, invoices, payments, and deposits
Liaise closely with technicians and track job progress
Manage warranty claims and write detailed failure reports
Upsell additional services and recommend value-adding repairs
Handle workshop administration and run the front of house professionally
Ensure all client documentation and communication is up to date
