About the Role

Our client, a high-growth professional services firm specializing in compliance and business growth, is seeking a driven Senior Sage Payroll Support Consultant to join their team. This client-facing role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys building long-term relationships while ensuring payroll accuracy and legislative compliance for a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional telephonic and onsite technical support to clients regarding payroll systems.
Manage the end-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
Facilitate the submission of EMP501 reconciliations via File.
Stay current with the latest payroll and tax legislation to ensure continuous client compliance.
Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities and service upgrades for the firm.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders.
Assist with essential administrative duties and process improvements as required.

Requirements

A minimum of 10 years’ experience working extensively with Sage Pastel Payroll.
Sage Pastel Payroll qualification (Essential).
Sage PCC (Partner Cloud Controller) knowledge (Essential).
Proficiency in other Sage software products.
Microsoft Excel Specialist certification or equivalent advanced skills.
Extensive experience with File submissions and SARS requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor.
A valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (Essential).
A basic tertiary qualification is preferred.
