Brief Description of the Vacancy Responsible for overseeing and improving packaging processes within a manufacturing environment. Ensures products are packaged efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Duties include setting up and maintaining packaging equipment, troubleshooting issues, training junior staff, and collaborating with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to optimize performance and reduce waste.

Experience Required

• National Senior Certificate (NQF 4 or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years technical maintenance experience
• Experience with automated packaging machinery (advantageous)
• Electrical or Maintenance Diploma (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections on automated and manual packaging equipment

• Perform fault finding and breakdown repairs

• Ensure machines operate at optimal efficiency

• Monitor stock levels and order parts when needed

• Attend to after‑hours breakdowns

• Coordinate packaging technicians and maintain packaging machinery
