SUMMARY:
Senior Millwright
A well known food  manufacturer is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Millwright to join their manufacturing team. This role is accountable across all shifts, as part of the Line Trio, for ensuring optimal line performance and equipment reliability. The successful candidate will play a key role in eliminating breakdowns, reducing maintenance-related losses, implementing preventive maintenance systems, and developing the technical capability of Equipment Owners to sustain equipment performance. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with the Line Owner and Supervisors as part of the Line Trio to achieve safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, cost, and engagement targets.
Coach and develop Equipment Owners and associates to strengthen technical capability and equipment ownership.
Promote and enforce adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Maintenance Systems & Execution
Develop, implement, and sustain preventive maintenance (PM) plans and standards.
Lead breakdown analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures.
Ensure defect handling processes are executed effectively and sustained.
Manage critical spare parts to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of job cards within the CMMS system.

Continuous Improvement
Analyse maintenance trends and performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
Present maintenance insights and recommendations during weekly operational reviews.
Identify priority losses and lead corrective actions with the Line Trio.
Participate in projects focused on improving equipment reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
Conduct system health checks for maintenance processes and standards.
 
Meeting Participation & Operational Support
Daily
Participate in Daily Line Meetings (DLMs).
Share maintenance priorities and support production alignment.
Coach teams on safety, quality, and defect correction fundamentals.
Weekly
Attend weekly line and maintenance meetings.
Prepare and analyse maintenance data and performance trends.
Align planned maintenance work with production schedules and priorities.
Monthly / Quarterly
Contribute to line loss analysis and identify breakdown-related losses.
Lead maintenance improvement action plans.
Support capability assessments and performance review processes.

Minimum Requirements
Qualified Millwright or Electrician with a valid Red Seal Certification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, sanitation standards, and local regulations
Experience with production scheduling, throughput optimization, changeovers, and run-rates
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
Experience disassembling, repairing, and reassembling industrial equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CMMS systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
TPM fundamentals (AM, PM, FI)
Breakdown elimination and planned maintenance
Standards management and continuous improvement
Operational understanding of centerlines, CILs, safety, and quality systems
Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting (up to 25kg)
Ability to work in high-noise manufacturing environments
Comfortable working in varying temperatures, humidity, and production conditions
